Chicken Dhal and Rice

Directions


1.Boil Dahl with 1/4 tsp of turmeric and 1/4 tsp salt until mushy. 2.Braise 3/4 of the onion with cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves, Curry, cumin. 3.Add rest of spices and masala and braise until fragrant. 4.Add chicken and lemon juice allow to turn white. 5.Add spring onions, mint and tomatoes . Allow tomatoes to burn out. 6.Add dhal with water as needed and boil together till desired consistency. 7.Add fist of coriander when done and service with rice. 8.Chop the rest of the onion and braise with cumin and cinnamon until golden. 9.Add water with salt and boil with lid on. 10.Rinse rice and add to water. 11.Allow to cook with lid on stirring twice. Fluff when cooked.
